Car Crashes

Car Crashes

If you have been in a car accident, you should contact a lawyer immediately. You can Call or Text me at (508) 960-9686 for a FREE Consultation. As soon as a crash is reported to an insurance company, they begin preparing to defend against your injuries. You need an attorney fighting for you immediately.

While still at the scene of the crash, there are steps you can take to better protect yourself.

1. Call 911 if there's an emergency;

2. Seek immediate medical attention if needed;

3. Make sure you obtain the other driver's license information;

4. Obtain the owner of the vehicle's information;

5. Try to take pictures of their license and registration;

6. Take pictures of the scene, including all people, vehicles, and physical objects involved;

7. Get names and contact information of all witnesses;

8. If you are a passenger in a motor vehicle crash, you should obtain all the information yourself. Do not rely on your driver to get all the information and later share it with you.

You should report the crash to your insurance company and provide them with details about the crash.

You should allow your attorney to communicate all details about your injury with the insurance company.

Massachusetts is a no-fault insurance state. This means, regardless of who causes the crash, there are medical benefits available for you to get medical treatment for your injuries. This is called Personal Injury Protection (PIP). The rules and procedures of PIP can be very complicated and you should seek the help of an attorney to navigate the procedures.

Compensation for your Injuries

I will pursue all avenues of recovery for your injuries. Areas of compensation include:

1. Medical bills;

2. Future medical bills;

3. Scarring and disfigurement;

4. Pain and suffering;

5. Mental anguish;

6. Loss of companionship;

7. Lost wages;

8. Lost earning capacity; and

9. Additional various claims.

Insurance Coverage

Unfortunately, the amount of your recovery can be limited by the insurance coverage of the person who caused the crash. In order to protect yourself, you can obtain coverage called Under Insurance or Uninsured Motorist coverage. You should consult with an Insurance Agent/Broker to determine the appropriate coverages you need to protect yourself in advance of a crash occurring.
